What Men Want in a Relationship by Laura Doyle The 4 Relationship Hacks All Women Should Know But Don’t What do men want most from the women they love? If you’re asking yourself that, it’s probably because your guy seems grumpy, distant or depressed. Maybe he’s all three. Early on in my marriage, when everything was a struggle, I thought I was a pretty good wife. And since my marriage was miserable, that meant that he was the problem. But now I realize I was looking at everything through my female eyes, which meant I didn’t understand his perspective. At all. Figuring out what my husband wanted and what made him feel loved blew open the whole mystery for me. It was like traveling to another country and wondering why everyone was so hostile, and then learning that waving “hello” is their gesture for “drop dead.” Now that I know what makes men feel loved, my marriage is sweet and fun. The Saga of Thulukka Naachiyaar, Sri Rangam 20 Votes I wonder how many people who visit the gigantic temple at Thiruvarangam, the first of the 108 Divyadesas and the very heart of the ShriVaishnava cult, know that the lord of the temple, Sri Aranganathan, got married to a muslim princess out of her love for him. And still fewer do actually know the tide of events that lead to this divine union and the series of interesting events that followed it. Here I lay forward the story of this strange marriage, a story that spans over sixty years, a story that transcends all religions to prove once again that God is indeed one. It is seen that the activities of pure bhakti when performed even without a devotional attitude are still very powerful. Srila Jiva Goswami then cites an example from the Viṣṇudharmottara Purāṇa of an ordinary mouse who became a devotee and a queen due to some superficial contact with the Lord. A similar story is also found the Padma Purāṇa. In the Viṣṇudharmottara (1.167), Markandeya Rishi relates the following to King Vajra. In the country of Vidarbha there lived a king named Chitraratha. He had one hundred and fifteen sons, but only one daughter, whose name was Lalitika. She was endowed with all good qualities and possessed matchless beauty. Her father gave her in marriage to the righteous king of Kashi. That law-abiding king of Kashi had three hundred wives, but Lalitika became his principal queen. Beginning from t...
